Microspec Ltd is a well‑established provider of specialist laboratory products for the microbiological industry. We supply our products to a worldwide client base. Due to continued growth, we are seeking a proactive and organised Administrator / Quality Analyst to join our team.
About the RoleThis is a combined role involving both general administrative tasks and hands‑on quality analysis work in our on‑site laboratories. You will report directly to the company directors and support the smooth running of both office and laboratory functions.
Key Responsibilities- Answering telephone calls and responding to emails from clients and suppliers
- General administrative support including filing, data entry, and record keeping
- Assisting with analysis of products and raw materials in our laboratory
- Issuing and maintaining Quality Control (QC) certificates and product specifications
- Managing and updating our QC/specification database
Supporting the directors and technical team with additional admin tasks as required
- Minimum 1–2 years’ experience in an administration or laboratory‑based role
- Good communication skills and a confident telephone manner
- Strong attention to detail and excellent organisational skills
- Comfortable using Microsoft Office (especially Word and Excel)
- A positive, flexible attitude and willingness to learn — full training will be provided
- Excellent timekeeping and attendance
- Previous experience in a quality, compliance, or scientific setting
- Familiarity with lab‑based or QC documentation processes
- £25,000 annual salary
