Job overviewWork as part of a team to receive telephone calls from patients for booking appointments via The Central Administration and Booking team. Support the Out of Hours service and the Urgent Community Response Team, and provide administrative support across multiple Community Services within the Trust.
Main duties- Receive telephone calls from patients/service users to book clinic appointments and handle general enquiries.
- Receive telephone calls from health care professionals to support the Out of Hours service.
- Provide call‑backs to patients to confirm appointment times and attendance.
- Book patients into services within the division.
- Provide general administrative support for community services.
- NVQ Level 2, GCSE Level or equivalent experience.
- Demonstrable working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
- Previous experience of dealing with the public and taking telephone enquiries.
- Experience of accurate data inputting.
- Experience using IT software – System 1.
- Good oral and written communication skills with a wide range of backgrounds.
- Maintain discretion when handling sensitive information.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
- Strong organisational skills to maintain accurate records and manage appointments.
- Flexible and adaptable.
- Use own initiative while knowing when to seek advice.
Permanent, Full‑time (37.5 hours per week).
