A well-established fire safety consultancy is looking to recruit an experienced Fire Surveyor to support a growing workload across Liverpool and the wider North West.
The Fire Surveyor's RoleThe appointed Fire Surveyor will carry out detailed fire safety inspections, identify defects and provide clients with clear guidance on required remedial works.
Typical responsibilities will include:- Undertaking compartmentation and fire door surveys
- Inspecting fire-stopping and passive fire protection systems
- Identifying defects, breaches and areas of non-compliance
- Producing accurate survey reports with practical recommendations
- Reviewing drawings, plans and building information
- Liaising with clients, contractors and property managers
- Supporting remedial and compliance programmes
- Managing site visits across Liverpool and the surrounding region
The successful Fire Surveyor will ideally have:
- Previous experience within fire surveying, passive fire protection or building surveying
- Good knowledge of fire doors, compartmentation and fire-stopping
- A relevant qualification in Fire Safety, Construction, Building Surveying or a related discipline
- Strong understanding of UK fire safety guidance and legislation
- Good written reporting and communication skills
- The ability to work independently across multiple sites
- A full UK driving licence
- Relevant qualifications or professional memberships such as IFE, FDIS, CIOB or equivalent would be advantageous.
- £40,000-£50,000, depending on experience
