Building Control Surveyor – Building Services & Maintenance – Wirral MBC
Hours:
Full-time (36 hours per week)
Contract: 12-week temporary contract from 23 November 2026 to 14 February 2027

We’re recruiting 2 experienced Building Control Surveyors to join Wirral MBC, based at 2 Alice Square, Birkenhead, Merseyside, CH41 2YA
.
This is a specialist surveying role supporting building control, building safety and compliance activity across the borough. You’ll assess plans, carry out site inspections, provide technical advice and help ensure building work complies with relevant regulations and statutory requirements.
The role requires strong technical knowledge, sound professional judgement and the ability to work effectively with developers, contractors, architects, property owners and internal Council teams.
