KS2 SEND Teaching Assistant

Desian Education is seeking an experienced and compassionate Specialist SEND Teaching Assistant to join a supportive primary school in the Wirral. This is a full-time position working within the school's dedicated KS2 SEND provision, supporting pupils with a range of additional needs.

As a Specialist SEND Teaching Assistant, you will:

• Work within a small, collaborative team to support KS2 pupils with varied SEND, including Autism and ADHD
• Provide both group and 1:1 support as required
• Help create an inclusive, nurturing and structured learning environment
• Assist with tailored interventions and personalised support plans
• Build positive, trusting relationships with pupils to help them engage and progress

• Previous experience supporting children or young people with SEND
• Confidence working with pupils who have Autism, ADHD, or similar needs
• The ability to collaborate effectively with the SEND team and wider school staff
• Patience, resilience, and a genuine passion for supporting children's development
• Strong communication skills and a proactive, supportive approach
