Academics Ltd are currently recruiting for a dedicated 1:1 SEMH Teaching Assistant to support pupils in the Wirral area
.

We are seeking a compassionate, resilient, and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to work one-to-one with a pupil with Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs within a warm and welcoming primary school setting. This is a rewarding role for someone passionate about making a real difference to a child who requires additional emotional and behavioural support.

The successful candidate will play a key role in helping the pupil regulate emotions, engage with learning, and develop positive relationships
, both in and out of the classroom. You will work closely with the class teacher, SENCO, and wider support staff to implement tailored strategies that promote inclusion and progress.

• Has experience supporting children with SEMH, behavioural needs, or additional needs.
• Is confident providing 1:1 support
  , including emotional regulation and behaviour management.
• Demonstrates a patient, calm, and nurturing approach.
• Can effectively support pupils in and outside of the classroom.
• Works well as part of a multidisciplinary team.
• Communicates confidently with pupils, staff, and families.
• Is able to follow individual behaviour support plans and school policies.
• Is committed to safeguarding and promoting pupil wellbeing.
• Is passionate about making a lasting, positive difference to vulnerable pupils.
