Primary School, Birkenhead, Wirral (Merseyside, UK)

Hours:

36 hours per week, 39 weeks per year
Salary: £90-110 (dependent on experience) with potential to increase to scale

Academics is working with a well-regarded primary school in the Birkenhead area to appoint an enthusiastic Level 2 Teaching Assistant to join their supportive team. This is a fantastic opportunity to make a real difference in children's learning and development.

Role Overview

As a Level 2 Teaching Assistant, you will:

🔹 Support the classroom teacher in delivering high-quality teaching and learning across KS1 and KS2
🔹 Work with individuals and small groups to promote progress and attainment
🔹 Provide additional support to pupils with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND)
🔹 Promote positive behaviour and engagement in line with school ethos

This role is ideal for someone who has experience working with children in a school or similar setting, is committed to inclusive practice, and enjoys contributing to a nurturing and collaborative learning environment.

✔ A passion for supporting children's academic and personal development
✔ Enhanced DBS (or willingness to obtain one) - safeguarding children is paramount
