Health Lecturer FXT – Wirral Met College

Apply now to join our Health Care and Early Years team as a Lecturer in Health, specialising in delivering T Level or Level 3 qualifications. This is a 21‑hour per week fixed‑term role, beginning now and ending July 2026. Pay ranges from £18,121 to £25,061 per annum, based on skills and experience.

• Carry out formal scheduled teaching.
• Act as a personal tutor and/or course leader for student groups, maintaining high achievement rates.
• Prepare delivery plans, sequenced learning plans and learning materials.
• Mark student work and/or examinations and carry out internal quality assurance.
• Work as part of the team monitoring, reviewing and evaluating all aspects of the programmes, including work placements.
• Maintain appropriate college and university records and follow college quality processes.
• Participate in self‑assessment procedures to monitor and evaluate performance.
• Carry out student reviews and tutorials.
• Contribute to curriculum development.
• Participate in student recruitment activities, including marketing and interviews.

• Level 2 or above English/literacy and maths/numeracy.
• Degree or equivalent qualification in health or a related area.
• Recognised full teaching qualification.
• Experience teaching T Level Health or Health and Social Care at Level 3.
