Prospero Teaching are recruiting Science Teachers to support secondary schools across the Wirral from February. These roles are suitable for teachers who can deliver engaging Science lessons across Biology, Chemistry and Physics, supporting pupils at KS3 and KS4.
This is an excellent opportunity for passionate science practitioners who enjoy building subject understanding, encouraging curiosity and helping students succeed through key stages of their secondary education.
The role
As a Science Teacher, you will plan and deliver well-structured, engaging Science lessons that promote strong conceptual understanding and practical skills. You will work closely with science departments and pastoral teams to support pupil progress, behaviour and engagement, particularly in preparation for assessments ools are looking for confident practitioners who can maintain high standards while building positive relationships with students.
Responsibilities
Planning and delivering high-quality Science lessons across KS3 and KS4
Teaching Biology, Chemistry and/or Physics depending on expertise
Preparing pupils for assessments and examinations
Tracking, assessing and reporting on pupil progress
Creating a positive, safe and inclusive classroom environment
Managing behaviour in line with school policies
Working collaboratively with department colleagues and support staff

Schools located across Birkenhead, Wallasey, Heswall and wider Wirral areas
The ideal candidate
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) - essential
Experience teaching Science at KS3 and/or KS4
Confident, enthusiastic and able to motivate learners
Strong classroom and behaviour management skills
Reliable, proactive and committed to high teaching standards
Good understanding of safeguarding and secondary school policies Safeguarding
