We are recruiting a dedicated SEND Teacher to join a Secondary PRU in Leasowe
, part of a well-established group of provisions across the Wirral. This is an exciting opportunity to join a new and growing site that provides a safe, nurturing and engaging environment for young people who find mainstream education challenging.
The provision supports secondary‑aged pupils
, with up to 20 students on roll and excellent staff‑to‑pupil ratios, including consistent 1:1 Teaching Assistant support
. The setting focuses on re‑engagement in education, emotional regulation, and personal development
, supporting pupils with needs including SEMH, ADHD, challenging behaviour and ACEs
.
This is a full‑time temp‑to‑perm opportunity
, offering long‑term stability for the right candidate and the chance to help shape a growing provision.
- Plan and deliver engaging, adaptable learning tailored to individual pupil needs
- Build positive relationships that foster trust, confidence and resilience
- Create a calm, structured and inclusive classroom environment
- Work collaboratively with teaching assistants, pastoral teams and external professionals
- Support pupils' social, emotional and behavioural development
- Contribute to the wider ethos of care, respect and re‑engagement
- Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
- Has experience working with pupils with SEND/SEMH needs
- Demonstrates strong behaviour management and relationship‑building skills
- Is patient, flexible and emotionally resilient
- Is passionate about helping young people achieve both personal and academic success
