About the RoleTeaching Personnel are seeking a dedicated and empathetic Teaching Assistant to provide 1:1 behaviour support for a Year 3 pupil. This is a fantastic opportunity for an individual who is passionate about making a positive impact on a child’s educational journey while also developing new skills to enhance their professional portfolio.

- Supporting pupils in a mixed‑gender, inclusive mainstream setting, with no specific religious character and a welcoming community ethos.
- No specialist SEN unit or resourced provision, but supports pupils with SEND within mainstream classes.
- Engagement with parents through Ofsted’s Parent View platform, reinforcing a culture of openness and partnership.
- Strong community relationships, including wraparound care offered locally through Before and After School Club.
- Provide warm, patient and dedicated 1:1 behaviour support to a lovely Year 3 pupil, helping them feel understood, supported and safe as they grow emotionally and academically.
- Work hand‑in‑hand with the SENCO, supportive parents, and external professionals to create consistency, celebrate progress, and ensure the child receives the very best tailored support.
- Gently encourage positive interactions, confidence‑building moments and social development, helping the pupil feel included, valued and proud of their achievements.
- Support the class teacher by adapting activities, offering reassurance and bringing creativity to lessons so the child can engage at their own pace.
- Collaborate with a caring team of colleagues who believe in holistic development, inclusion and celebrating every small success along the way.
- Experience in similar roles such as support work with children.
- Experience of supporting children with additional needs.
- An understanding, patient and child-focused approach.
- Enhanced DBS on the update service.
- Minimum Qualification of GSCE C grade or equivalent.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
