Cover Supervisor

Are you a confident and adaptable individual with a strong presence in the classroom? rTriibe is seeking an experienced Cover Supervisor to support secondary schools in Birkenhead, ensuring continuity of learning during teacher absences.

This role is ideal for someone with excellent classroom management skills who can confidently engage students and deliver pre-prepared lessons across a range of subjects.

The Role

As a Cover Supervisor, you will be responsible for supervising classes in the absence of teaching staff, ensuring students remain on task and that lessons run smoothly.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise whole classes during short- and long-term teacher absences
• Deliver pre-prepared lesson materials across various subjects in line with school requirements, including English, Maths, Science, and more.
• Manage classroom behaviour in line with school policies
• Ensure a safe, productive, and focused learning environment
• Support students with lesson tasks and maintain engagement
• Adapt quickly to different school settings and classroom expectations
• Report back to teaching staff on student progress and behaviour

Requirements

• Experience working in secondary school settings (KS3-KS5)
• Strong classroom and behaviour management skills
• Confident, professional, and resilient personality
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to adapt to different classroom environments
• Enhanced DBS certificate (or willingness to obtain one)
