Responsibilities will include:

• Plan and deliver engaging, well-structured lessons that meet national curriculum expectations
• Differentiate teaching to support students of varying abilities and learning needs
• Track, assess, and record student progress, providing clear and constructive feedback
• Maintain a well-managed, inclusive, and positive classroom environment
• Collaborate with colleagues to ensure consistency of high-quality teaching and curriculum delivery
• Support students with exam preparation and coursework where applicable
• Contribute to departmental planning, meetings, and wider whole-school initiatives

What you'll need to succeedThe successful candidate will:
Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent Have experience teaching secondary aged students in the UK (all subjects welcomed) Demonstrate strong classroom management skills and effective communication Bring recent, relevant UK school-based experience Show professionalism, adaptability, and a commitment to raising standards Be dedicated to safeguarding and the welfare of children and young people Hold an Enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service-or be willing to apply for oneWhat you'll get in returnWhen you register with Hays Education, you will benefit from:
