Overview
Special Needs Teaching Assistants Needed!! Axcis are looking for multiple teaching assistants at a well respected school in Wirral (CH46) who are looking for a 1-1 support for pupils between KS2-4. The key objective for the school is to promote positive changes in children’s lives through providing experiences that promote both the personal development and academic progress of the pupils. The school is a Pupil Referral Unit (PRU) with a “7 Core Values System” which allows pupils to take responsibility for their own behaviour and to make the right choice independently.
Responsibilities- Provide 1-1 support for pupils between KS2-4 with SEND needs (ADHD, ASD, SEMH) and supporting positive behavioural development.
- Support inclusion and engagement, helping pupils access academic and personal development opportunities within a PRU setting.
- Collaborate with classroom staff to implement planned activities and behaviour management strategies aligned with the school’s core values.
- Participate in safeguarding and welfare procedures as required, including DBS checks and compliance processes.
- Full-time, long-term roles with a view to start ASAP.
- Experience working with SEND is essential.
- Previous experience in a school is not essential, but desirable.
- Enthusiastic about working with pupils with ADHD, ASD and SEMH and challenging behaviour.
