Computing Lecturer
Location: The Wirral
Hours: Full-time, 35 hours per week
Start Date: 27th February
Contract: Short-term cover (likely for several weeks)
About the RoleReed Further Education is seeking an enthusiastic and skilled Computing Lecturer to provide full-time cover. The ideal candidate will be confident delivering a mix of website development, general IT, and, ideally, introductory programming. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who enjoys teaching, is adaptable, and can step into an established curriculum with ease.
Key Responsibilities- Deliver engaging sessions across Computing and IT.
- Teach website development topics, including HTML and CSS.
- Teach Python programming to learners at a suitable level (desirable).
- Support learners with their coursework and development.
- Maintain a positive and inclusive classroom environment.
- Confident delivering HTML and CSS for website development.
- Ability to step into an existing timetable and deliver consistently.
- Teaching qualification (UK recognised).
- Experience teaching or training in Computing or IT.
- Knowledge of Python programming.
- FE teaching experience or industry experience in a relevant field.
All candidates who register with Reed Further Education will have 2 years' referencing taken up and will be required to have a DBS check completed. All offers are conditional upon satisfactory background checks.
