We are recruiting a passionate and nurturing Nursery Teacher to join a well-established early years setting in the Upton area from 23rd March 2026. This is a full-time role with strong potential to secure a permanent contract for the right candidate.

This opportunity is ideal for a qualified Early Years practitioner who thrives in a nursery environment and is committed to supporting children during the most important stage of their development.

The role

As a Nursery Teacher, you will be responsible for planning and delivering high-quality early years provision in line with the EYFS framework. You will create a safe, stimulating, and inclusive environment where children can explore, build confidence and develop strong foundations in communication, social skills and early learning.

You will work closely with nursery staff, leadership, and families to ensure each child receives the support and encouragement they need to flourish.

Responsibilities
  • Planning and delivering engaging, play-based learning activities
  • Following the EYFS framework and safeguarding guidelines
  • Supporting children's social, emotional and academic development
  • Monitoring progress and completing observations and assessments
  • Creating a warm, inclusive and stimulating learning environment
  • Building strong relationships with children, parents and colleagues
  • Promoting positive behaviour and early learning routines
The ideal candidate
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or recognised Early Years qualification (essential)
  • Experience working within a nursery or early years setting
  • Strong understanding of the EYFS framework
  • Warm, patient and enthusiastic approach
  • Confident planning and delivering engaging early years provision
  • Good understanding of safeguarding procedures
