  • Provide patient, encouraging 1:1 support to a Year 1 pupil with ADHD
  • Use strategies such as visual prompts, movement breaks, task‑chunking and positive reinforcement
  • Help the pupil stay focused, regulated and confident throughout the school day
  • Work closely with the class teacher, SENCO, parents and external specialists
  • Adapt activities and bring creativity to learning to help the child succeed in their own way
  • Promote social development, emotional regulation and positive routines
  • Be part of a supportive, collaborative team that champions inclusion
  • Experienced in working with children (school, nursery, youth work or similar)
  • Confident supporting pupils with ADHD or additional learning needs
  • Calm, understanding and child‑centred in their approach
  • Reliable, positive and proactive in the classroom
  • Holding an Enhanced DBS (on the Update Service)
  • Qualified to at least GCSE Grade C or equivalent

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
