SEND Teaching Assistant Jobs – Supply & Cover Roles | £95–£110 per Day The Education Specialists (TES) are working in partnership with schools across Ellesmere port to recruit dedicated and compassionate SEND Teaching Assistants for short‑term, long‑term, and day‑to‑day cover roles. These roles offer a rewarding opportunity to support pupils with a range of additional needs across primary and secondary settings.
Key Responsibilities of a SEND Teaching Assistant:
- Support pupils with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) on a 1:1 or small group basis.
- Deliver tailored learning activities based on individual needs.
- Support pupils’ social, emotional, and academic development.
- Implement EHCP targets and behaviour support strategies.
- Create a safe, inclusive, and supportive learning environment.
- Work closely with teachers, SENCOs, and external professionals.
- Provide personal care support where required.

- Experience supporting children or young people with SEND.
- A patient, resilient, and empathetic approach.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply).
- Eligibility to work in the UK.
