Secondary SEN Teacher

We are seeking a dedicated Secondary SEN Teacher to join a supportive and forward‑thinking team in Birkenhead, supporting students across Key Stage 3 & 4 with additional learning and behavioural needs.

This is a rewarding opportunity to help young people build confidence, resilience, independence, and essential life skills through engaging and personalised learning.

• Role: Secondary SEN Teacher
• Location: Birkenhead
• Contract: Temp to Perm / Long‑term
• Hours: 8:30am – pm
• Setting: On‑site, SEN & Alternative Provision

• Deliver engaging, differentiated lessons tailored to individual needs
• Support students with SEN, SEMH, and additional behavioural needs
• Foster a safe, structured, and positive learning environment
• Promote communication, independence, and emotional development
• Work closely with support staff, SENCO, and wider school teams
• Encourage student engagement, progress, and wellbeing

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
• Experience or strong interest in SEN, SEMH, or Alternative Provision
• Understanding of KS1 and KS2 learning approaches within secondary settings
• Creative, patient, and compassionate teaching style
• Strong behaviour management and relationship‑building skills
• A valid driver's licence and own motor vehicle are required to drive through school.

• Pay rates inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay
• Temporary position with possibility of becoming permanent later
