Job OverviewTeaching Personnel are currently seeking an experienced and confident SEN Teaching Assistant to work on a full‑time, long‑term basis within primary and/or secondary SEN school environments across the Wirral.
This is an excellent opportunity for a dedicated and passionate support professional who has proven experience working with pupils with Special Educational Needs (SEN) and is confident adapting their support to meet a range of complex needs.
Responsibilities- Provide 1:1 and small group support for pupils with SEN
- Assist the class teacher in delivering tailored learning activities
- Support pupils with a range of needs, including, but not limited to: ASD (Autism Spectrum Disorder), ADHD, SEMH (Social, Emotional & Mental Health needs), learning difficulties
- Help manage behaviour positively and effectively
- Foster a supportive, inclusive, and engaging learning environment
- Promote independence and confidence in students
- Previous experience working as an SEN Teaching Assistant is essential
- Strong understanding of supporting pupils with SEN in school settings
- Confident, proactive, and adaptable approach
- Ability to build positive relationships with pupils and staff
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
- A genuine passion for supporting children and young people with additional needs
- Experience across a variety of SEN settings (primary and secondary)
- Full‑time, long‑term placement with stability
