Position: PEP (Personal Education Plan) Co-Ordinator

We are looking for a PEP (Personal Education Plan) Co‑Ordinator to join our team. This is a 35 hours per week, full‑time, permanent role offering a salary of £27,117 to £29,615 per annum.

Responsibilities
  • Lead on the development and implementation of each individual students Personal Education Plan (PEP) as required.
  • To arrange, attend and chair, as required, PEP meetings in conjunction with social workers, virtual schools and internal college teams.
  • Ensuring students personal, emotional and academic needs are prioritised.
  • Make sure the young person has a voice in setting learning targets.
  • Developing and monitoring systems for liaising with carers, social workers, health professionals and the Virtual School/s in relation to the education needs and progress of the student.
Qualifications
  • Hold a relevant level 3 qualification (Advice & Guidance, Youth Work, Teaching, Mentoring).
  • GCSE grade C/4 or above in English and Maths or equivalent.
  • Have experience working with a wide range of young people with different and sometimes challenging needs.
  • Experience of chairing meetings.
  • Have knowledge and/or experience of identifying and supporting young people with a range of issues and barriers to learning.
  • Experience of working with social care and other external agencies.
