Lecturer – Health & Psychology (Fixed Term)

We are looking for a Lecturer in Health & Psychology to join our team. This is a 35 hours per week, fixed-term role until October 2027 offering a salary of £31,410 to £43,440 per annum.

Job Purpose /

Key Responsibilities
  • Carry out formal scheduled teaching, tutorials, and assessments. Include the preparation of learning materials, students’ assignments and support students in their studies both during scheduled teaching sessions and during periods of self‑directed study.
  • Act as a personal tutor to groups of students, setting targets and holding reviews.
  • Manage and maintain appropriate programmes, College records, and quality systems to ensure high performance.
  • Management and supervision of student visit programmes.
  • Work with staff across both the department and college to ensure student experience and engagement is excellent.
Skills and Qualifications
  • Degree or equivalent qualification in a related subject area.
  • Teaching qualification.
  • GCSE grade C/4 or above in English and Maths.
  • Successful teaching experience of post 16 learners.
  • Experience liaising with other staff to ensure quality standards are met.
  • Experience with Internal Verification in preparation for external verification.
