Milk Education is looking for compassionate and proactive Learning Support Assistants to work within a welcoming secondary school in Birkenhead

As a Learning Support Assistant, you'll work closely with teachers and students, providing tailored support that enables every learner to thrive both academically and personally.
What you'll be doing:- Supporting students on a one-to-one basis and in small groups.
- Helping pupils with SEND, SEMH or additional learning needs to access the curriculum.
- Encouraging independence, confidence and engagement in lessons.
- Assisting teachers with classroom activities and learning resources.
- Promoting positive behaviour and emotional wellbeing.
- Building trusting relationships with students, staff and families.
- Experience supporting children or young people in education, childcare, youth work or similar settings.
- A patient, empathetic and nurturing approach.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Confidence supporting students with a range of additional needs.
- A genuine passion for helping young people succeed.
- Relevant qualifications or transferable experience are desirable but not essential.
