We are looking for a confident, enthusiastic and motivated Cover Supervisor to join an excellent secondary school in Birkenhead on a full-time, temporary basis, with a fantastic opportunity for the right person to secure a long-term position

As a Cover Supervisor, you will:

• Take responsibility for supervising classes in the absence of the usual teacher.
• Deliver pre-prepared lessons and ensure pupils remain focused and engaged.
• Create a positive, calm and productive learning environment.
• Manage classroom behaviour confidently and consistently.
• Support pupils with their learning and encourage them to achieve their best.
• Work closely with teaching staff and the wider school team.
• Become a valued and trusted member of the school community.

We're looking for someone who is:

• Confident, energetic and enthusiastic about working in a secondary school.
• Comfortable managing groups of young people.
• Able to build positive relationships with pupils quickly.
• Calm, professional and confident when managing behaviour.
• Reliable, organised and adaptable.
• Passionate about helping young people succeed.
• Experienced in a school environment
  or
  keen to take the next step into education.

Teaching qualifications are not essential
for this role — we're interested in finding the right person with the attitude, confidence and skills to make a difference.
