Connex Education are working with a Primary School in Wirral who are seeking a EYFS SEND Teaching Assistant to join their team as soon as possible. The role will consist of supporting EYFS pupils with social/communication needs, GDD and Autism.

This specialist Primary School strive to provide pupils who have an EHCP with the highest quality of teaching and learning. They use a variety of approaches in a caring and close-knit community, supporting children’s sensory and emotional needs. As an EYFS Teaching Assistant at this School, you will support the Early Years curriculum with a strong focus on helping with development and communication skills.

You will be using learning through play and sensory based activities.

This is a full-time role and with an immediate start date and will consist of working Monday-Friday 8.30am until 3.30pm. The role will be for at least 1 term with the potential of a direct contract.

This is ideal for an EYFS SEND Teaching Assistant who has a passion for supporting pupils With additional needs at the start of their Educational journey.

• Experience of supporting EYFS children with Special Needs
• Able to use a range of communication methods to help break down barriers to learning, including visual aids.
• Be energetic, creative and have the ability to work effectively within a team environment
• Be able to manage behaviour , using positive distraction techniques and creating a calm learning environment where pupils can thrive.
• Able to provide a DBS on the update service or be willing to apply for a new one.
