Connex Education are seeking several flexible SEND Teaching Assistants to work across local SEND Schools in Wirral. We ave a lot of work available to cover sickness and planned absences. This is a flexible role where you can pick and choose how many days you would like to work.

The local SEND Schools we are working with cater for pupils aged 2-19 years with a range of needs including Autism, SEMH, SLD, Downs Syndrome, GDD and PMLD. As a flexible SEND Teaching Assistant you will be required to support pupils emotionally, socially and academically and help break down barriers to learning. You will provide emotional support, manage behaviour, help to develop life skills and will work as a team with staff members to create a calm and engaging learning environment.

You may be required to assist with personal care.

We have work available now and the hours are Monday-Friday 8.30am until 3.30pm. You can either work day to day or if you are looking for a long- term role we can offer both full-time and long-term. This is a fantastic opportunity to help get your foot in the door of local SEND Schools.

• Experience of supporting children or young adults with additional needs in a School or residential setting
• Be able to provide emotional support, build relationships with pupils and help them to be the best version of themselves.
• Able to communicate well and be patient and able to manage behaviour
• Be willing to assist with personal care
• Be able to interact well with pupils and staff and able to work well as a team.
• Able to provide a DBS on the update service or be willing to apply for a new one.
