Teaching Personnel is currently recruiting confident and adaptable Cover Supervisors to work in secondary schools across Liverpool and the surrounding areas. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals looking to gain valuable classroom experience, whether you are considering a career in teaching, have previous experience working with young people, or are seeking your next role within education.

As a Cover Supervisor, you will play a key role in maintaining continuity of learning by supervising classes during teacher absences and ensuring students remain engaged with the work provided.

As a Cover Supervisor, you will:

• Deliver pre-set lessons across a range of subject areas
• Manage classroom behaviour in line with school policies
• Ensure students remain on task and engaged with their learning
• Provide support and guidance to students where appropriate
• Maintain a positive and productive learning environment
• Report back to teaching staff regarding student progress and behaviour
• Build positive relationships with students and school staff

• Previous experience working with secondary-aged pupils is desirable
• Experience in education, coaching, youth work, tutoring, mentoring, or similar roles is advantageous
• Strong communication and classroom management skills
• Confidence in leading a classroom independently
• Ability to adapt to different school environments and subject areas
• Enhanced DBS on the Update Service, or willingness to obtain one
• Right to work in the UK

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
