Job Purpose and

Key Responsibilities

To own Electrical and Control infrastructure in conjunction with Projects throughout Holiferm. Reporting directly to the Head of Projects, the role will support projects in electrical infrastructure builds, developing plant electrics from incomers to field devices and control. The E&C Engineer will be the 'go to' individual for anything in relation to their skill areas. An expectation of hands‑on task completion is necessary and the successful candidate will be expected to coordinate and drive activities on a day‑to‑day basis to deliver projects on time and on budget.

The E&C Engineer will support all projects across the site within their discipline. This will include electrical work up to 415v and facilitation of control software. The role will be the site responsible electrical person for new and existing electrical instrument wiring, design, commissioning, and the build / modification of control systems (DCS) through hands‑on support and contractor management.

The majority of this role will be situated at the Oceans Park site in Wallasey, infrequently, there may need to visit other sites. The normal working hours of this role will be 08:00 – 16:00 Monday to Friday with flexibility. There will also be an expectation of a degree of flexibility around project support and resource availability. This may involve out of hours or temporary shifts.

The company will endeavour to minimise interruption to normal working hours.

Core skills Essential
  • Electrical design and specification experience
  • Working knowledge of DCS system software
  • Experience of installation management, testing / commissioning (Example: FAT, SAT, IQ, OQ)
  • Hands on experience with 415v. Experience with >415v
  • Compliance with codes of practice and legislation (Examples: BS7671, CUSC, GC etc)
  • Proven experience of work in control cabinets, PLC's and MCC's
  • Proven experience in updating and maintaining electrical line drawings
  • Proven experience in control software diagnostics and maintenance
  • Experience of Quality Assurance in concept, design, construction for electrical infrastructure
  • Exposure to multiple ongoing projects and demonstrated delivery
  • Supervisory experience with contractors and vendors
  • Exposure to electrical infrastructure upgrades
Advantageous
  • Proven experience in control software design
  • Proven experience in plant isolation (LOTOTO / PTW)
  • Exposure to a project management structure (PMO)
  • Exposure to continuous improvement and efficiency gains
  • Experienced in root cause analysis and action management
  • Working knowledge of Siemens systems
  • Working knowledge of common plant instrumentation (examples: flow meters, temperature sensors, density meters etc)
  • Working knowledge of inline process control instruments and AI
  • Experience with 6S
