Due to continued expansion and a strong project pipeline, an exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced TEKLA Draughtsman/Detailer to join their Ellesmere Port team.
The Role
As a TEKLA Draughtsman / Detailer, you will play a key role in the design, detailing and coordination of structural steelwork projects. Working closely with engineers, project managers and fabrication teams, you will ensure practical, efficient and fully compliant steel detailing solutions are delivered to the highest standards.

Key Responsibilities
Producing detailed 3D models and fabrication drawings using TEKLA Structures
Preparing GA drawings, assembly drawings and single-part drawings
Generating accurate material take-offs, bills of materials, NC files and other outputs for fabrication machinery
Liaising with engineers at all levels to develop practical and efficient connection details
Coordinating designs with other construction disciplines including architectural and MEP teams
Ensuring all work adheres to relevant British Standards, company procedures and project specifications
Supporting project teams through fabrication and installation phases
Managing drawing revisions and maintaining documentation control
Participating in design reviews and contributing to continuous improvement initiatives
Supporting efficient workshop production by providing clear and accurate fabrication information
Requirements
Proven experience as a TEKLA Draughtsman/Detailer within the structural steel industry
Strong working knowledge of TEKLA Structures
Sound understanding of fabrication processes, including welding and bolting
Experience generating NC files and outputs for fabrication machinery
Ability to interpret engineering and architectural drawings
Good knowledge of British Standards relevant to structural steelwork
Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate across multi-disciplinary teams
High attention to detail and strong organisational skills
Qualifications (Desirable)
HNC/HND (or equivalent) in Civil or Structural Engineering, or Draughting
