) with 30% travel to Bolton
Hours:
37.5 hours per week. Monday – Thursday, 08:30 – 17:15 and Friday 08:30 - 13:00
Job Overview
- Managing QHSE Processes & Systems
- Ensuring compliance with relevant legislation and ISO standards
- Providing support and advice as necessary to the Bolton and Vietnam sites
- To promote a professional image of the company and themselves at all times.
- Identifying and undertaking initiatives aimed at improving the efficiency and effectiveness of QHSE delivery.
- To contribute to fully integrated and flexible operations in order to provide a good customer service.
- Maintain, develop and use appropriate electronic systems / safe working practices.
- Work with and support other team members as required to contribute to the effective management of QHSE operations
- Provide QHSE information as required for the use of the company.
- Maintain and review Health & Safety policy & procedures of the company.

- Understand and be committed to supporting the company’s Strategic Focus Areas.
- You will be expected to seek ways of updating and improving personal skills, knowledge and understanding relevant to your own job role. Magma will undertake regular appraisal interviews with all staff in order to address individuals’ personal development needs and to produce a training and development plan for the company.
- Supporting all QHSE activities across the business
- QHSE system management (14001, 9001 & 45001)
- Ensure that the company and its employees comply with all statutory requirements
- Manage and maintain the companies integrated management system
- Arrange and participate in 3rd party certification assessments
- Plan and perform System and process audits and mentor audit team
- Collate and report on packaging data in accordance with EPR (with compliance scheme).
- Liaise with regulators where required
- Resolve Customer and Supplier Concerns
- Investigate and resolve internal rejects / non-conformances with corrective actions
- Monitor KPI requirements and deliver continuous improvement
- Organise training and update training records of site employees
- Write, organise and deliver Toolbox Talks and other training as necessary
- Perform annual QHSE management system reviews
- Reporting, monitoring, investigation and prevention of accidents, incidents and near misses
- Plan and perform Risk Assessments
- Maintain legislation requirements (Health, Safety and Environment)
- Perform periodic HSE audits and inspections
- Manage contractors on site – Inductions / PTW / RAMS
- Liaise with external contractors for inspection / testing / calibration of site manufacturing equipment, including LOLER, PAT Testing, LEV, Noise and Air Monitoring, health surveillance
- Provide advice and mentoring to other members of the team
- Create a PM Schedule alongside the maintenance team to ensure key manufacturing equipment is kept in good working condition
Skills and Qualifications
- 3+ years’ experience in a QHSE role in a manufacturing environment
- Experience of working with ISO
9001, ISO
14001 and ISO 45001 standards - Driven, Tenacious and Hands on
- Good organisational skills
- Solid IT Literacy
- Efficient presentation and communication skills
- Ability to influence and affect culture
- Professionalism and cordiality
- Ability meet project deadlines/KPIs
- Problem solving, decision making and analytical capabilities
