This is a brilliant opportunity for an experienced Engineering Manager with a strong background in Industrial Manufacturing to join a business that is going from strength to strength. As part of the Senior Leadership team, you will truly have full responsibility for the dynamic engineering department of a key site for a global manufacturer. Role Description

• Focus on Health & Safety methods in manufacturing areas, driving improvements and continuously working on best practices
• Effective and regular communication with staff and peers to maximise manufacturing efficiency
• Supporting direct reports to ensure safe and efficient practices
• Implement or developing robust training programs
• Oversee apprenticeship programs offering the best training and coaching
• Develop methodology to measure engineering performance
• Full responsibility for departmental spend on resources (projects, labour, materials, capital equipment)
• Real time performance measurements
• Overseeing and developing a CMMS to deliver analytics
• Ongoing coaching and development of staff for Continuous Improvement

Skills and Qualifications

• Minimum 5 Years manufacturing experience within an engineering leadership role
• Track record of successfully managing and developing teams and individuals
• Experience in developing a robust Maintenance Management System (CMMS)
• Experience in applying CI / Lean principles in a manufacturing setting
• Project Management experience
• IOSH:
  Managing Safely qualification / Occupational Health & Safety qualification (Preferred)
