At Scottish Power Energy Networks, we’re investing billions to transform how energy is delivered across the UK – enabling net zero, supporting economic growth and keeping communities connected. Behind every major infrastructure decision sits strong commercial and financial insight, and that’s where this role comes in.

We’re looking for an experienced Process & Compliance Manager to join our business and play a critical role in shaping how we plan, control and challenge financial performance across a significant portfolio of investment.

This is a high impact role with real visibility, offering the opportunity to influence senior decision‑making, lead a talented team and work at the heart of a business delivering nationally important outcomes.

What you’ll be doing

As Process & Compliance Manager, you’ll step into a senior, hands‑on role responsible for ensuring that the organisation operates in full compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and internal policies. This role oversees regulatory compliance, statutory and internal reporting, and broader business and commercial compliance across all functions. The Process & Compliance Manager will act as a key advisor to senior management, embedding a strong compliance culture.

You’ll also lead and develop a high‑performing team, offering a clear transition from advisory into a role with long‑term ownership, leadership responsibility and career progression.

What You’ll Bring
  • Proven experience in a compliance, risk, or regulatory role.
  • Strong knowledge of regulatory frameworks and compliance practices.
  • Experience in compliance reporting and audit management.
  • Understanding of commercial and business compliance risks.
  • Excellent analytical, problem‑solving, and decision‑making skills.
  • Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
  • Professional certifications (e.g., ICA, CRCM, CAMS, or equivalent).
  • Confidence working with large, interconnected data sets, translating complexity into clear, actionable recommendations for decision makers.
  • A decisive, resilient approach – able to prioritise, manage competing demands and deliver under pressure.
  • Excellent communication and influencing skills, with the ability to engage and challenge stakeholders across finance and the wider business.
  • A curious, forward‑thinking mindset – someone who challenges the status quo, looks for better ways of working and brings fresh thinking to complex problems.
  • It is great if you have experience in a regulated environment such as utilities, infrastructure or public sector – or a genuine interest in developing this experience.
What’s in it for you

As well as a competitive salary which is reviewed annually, you can also enjoy several other benefits. With our pension scheme, we’ll double match your contribution up to a company contribution of 10%.

At Scottish Power, we believe it’s the little things we do in life that make a big difference. From helping you look after your family’s wellbeing, save for your future, and take personal steps for climate action – our benefits are designed to help you do just that – so that you have everything you need to take care of your world – today and tomorrow.

  • 36 days annual leave (inclusive of bank holidays)
  • Holiday purchase – perfect your work/life balance with extra annual leave
  • Share Incentive Plan and Sharesave Scheme
  • Payroll giving and charity matched funding
  • Technology vouchers – save more and spread the cost of your technology purposes
  • Count us in – pledge to reduce carbon emissions and help fight climate change
  • Electric Vehicle Schemes – to help you transition to green/clean driving
  • Cycle to Work scheme and public transport season ticket loans
  • Options to purchase dental insurance, private medical insurance, health cash plan and annual health assessments
  • Life Assurance (4x salary)
  • Access to ‘nudge’ financial wellbeing support
  • Plus, shopping, leisure, restaurant and gym discounts, and unique employee deals on travel insurance and more
