NC Associates are working exclusively with a long-established Law Firm based in Wirral to help recruit a Legal Cashier. As a Legal Cashier, you’ll be allocated various client sites, and be responsible for the full range of cashiering duties for each of these.

This role is extremely diverse, and no two days are ever the same, which promotes deep job satisfaction. It’s a fast-paced environment so you must be capable of managing a varied workload, achieving deadlines whilst maintaining accuracy too.

• Maintaining the entire Purchase Ledger and ensuring accuracy of all postings
• Daily Reconciliation of both Client and Office Banks
• Posting Banking Receipts, Electronic payments, payment of office expenses and dealing with petty cash
• Taking payments directly from clients over the phone

• To produce daily/weekly/monthly reports in accordance with departmental policies and procedures and relevant regulatory bodies. This will include management reports, bank reports, client balance reports, LAA and VAT reconciliation reports

• Monitoring SRA compliance with cash office procedures
• Resolving routine problems and queries as they arise
• Monitoring compliance with all relevant codes of Practice, including Solicitors Accounts Rules

• Experience working as a legal cashier with knowledge of the Solicitors Accounts Rules.
• Excellent communication and organisational skills
• Strong attention to detail
