This is a 9.46 hours per week, part‑time, permanent role offering a salary of £6669 per annum.
Job Purpose /Key Responsibilities
- Cleaning, washing, sweeping, vacuum cleaning, emptying litter bins, polishing and dusting of all college areas (including toilets and shower areas) and fixtures and fittings, using appropriate powered equipment. May also include external entrance and localised pathways for general sweep and limited litter pick.
- Report any obvious defects such as blocked toilets, broken fixtures and fittings to the team leader during normal duties.
- Commit to working towards a BICSc Cleaning Operatives Foundation Certificate or NVQ Level 1 in Cleaning Operations within 6 months of appointment.
- Awareness of general cleaning methods and techniques.
- Knowledge of Health and Safety requirements and safe use of materials and equipment.
- Understanding of requirements in dealing with staff and public.
- Ability to communicate clearly, with good interpersonal skills.
- Ability to manage time and work to schedules.
- Outstanding facilities in state‑of‑the‑art environments.
