- Friday, 8.30am-4.30pm 37.5 hours per week

Band 3 - £14.05

• Optimising the quality and condition of hospital setting to ensure the building is kept in a safe condition.
• Completing regular ventilation checks and essential maintenance such as filter changes etc.
• Minor building works – plastering, painting, and decorating, building repairs.
• Basic joinery work – change locks, repair panels, boarding up, etc.
• Basic plumbing – isolate a water supply off only, unblocking drains.
• Carry out planned preventative maintenance tasks – daily lift inspections, meter readings, plantroom cleaning, more but a brief of the required.
• Utilise knowledge and understanding of basic carpentry, electrical, plumbing and decorating to carry out routine planned and reactive maintenance work.
• Supporting member of the engineering & mechanical team, in ensuring the day-to-day efficient and safe working of all engineering plant on site.
• Comply in all aspects with the department’s Health and Safety policies.
• Undertake training as necessary and in particular.

• Happy working in a very physical role which includes heavy lifting.
• Maintenance experience (with electrical bias) advantageous.
• Comfortable using hand tools.
• Happy working in all weathers.
• Reliable and committed.
