Blow Moulding Machine Operator

Location:

Birkenhead, Wirral.

Working hours:

06:00‑14:00 or 14:00‑22:00, alternating weekly, Monday to Friday. Full time.

Base pay: £32,000‑£35,000 per annum.

• Experience operating stretch blow moulding machinery (essential)
• Good understanding of mechanical concepts and willingness to develop technically
• FLT licence (preferred)
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high quality and safety standards
• Ability to work effectively in a fast‑paced production environment

• Prepare and set up the Two‑Stage Stretch Blow Mould Machine (SMI – Rotary type)
• Operate and monitor machinery to produce PET bottles to required quality standards
• Perform mould changeovers and install accessories as needed
• Conduct routine quality inspections and carry out basic maintenance tasks
• Work closely with the operations team to meet production targets
• Manage and monitor performance process parameters and coordinate with the Operations Manager
• Record machine parameters, maintenance activities and production data accurately
• Follow all safety procedures to maintain a safe working environment
• Assist in diagnosing and resolving machine faults or product defects
