Barker Ross Barker Ross are currently recruiting for a Quality Control Inspector on behalf of a well-established precast concrete manufacturer based in Worksop . This is an excellent opportunity for a quality-focused professional to play a key role in ensuring high standards are maintained throughout the full production lifecycle.

The Role As a Quality Control Inspector, you will be responsible for promoting and maintaining exceptional quality standards at every stage of the production process. You will act independently from production, leading by example, supporting teams with technical knowledge, and ensuring all units meet required specifications prior to delivery.

Key Responsibilities Promote a strong quality and health & safety culture across the site Carry out in-depth quality inspections at all stages of production through to delivery Check rebar, cages, reinforcement, and covers against drawings and 3D models Complete pre-pour and post-pour inspections, including dimensional checks Ensure adherence to Quality Assurance Requirements (QAR) Raise, distribute, and manage Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs) Investigate quality issues and support Root Cause Analysis (RCA) Participate in PVA activities and collective improvement initiatives Carry out non-destructive and destructive testing where required Assess remedial works and conduct crack surveys and pull testing Green tag completed units and complete PDI checks prior to delivery Produce regular progress and performance reports for management Build strong working relationships with Leadership, Production, and Delivery teams Skills, Knowledge & Experience Essential:
Proactive approach to health and safety Strong communication skills with the ability to engage at all levels Ability to prioritise workload and meet deadlines High attention to detail and commitment to quality Desire to develop skills and support quality capacity across factory areas Desirable:
Previous experience in a large or complex manufacturing environment Trade background with production quality control experience Ability to read engineering drawings, reinforcement drawings, and schedules Good IT skills and confidence using modern systems and software Numeracy skills Evidence of continuous professional development or training Personal Attributes Strong work ethic and pride in delivering high-quality work Trustworthy and confident in signing off products Flexible and adaptable to changing workloads and schedules Team player with good people skills Self-motivated with strong time management and initiative What's on Offer Opportunity to work with a respected precast manufacturer A key quality role with responsibility and autonomy Supportive working environment with scope for development £14.90- £19.37 plus holiday pay and overtime pay.
