Position: Chemical Production Operative (Permanent)
Chemical Production Operative – Temp to Perm

Location:

Birkenhead Docks
Pay Rate: £13.21 per hour

Shift: 1:00pm – 11:00pm
Job Type: Temporary to Permanent | Full-Time

The Role

Our client, a well-established manufacturing company, is currently recruiting for a Chemical Production Operative to join their growing production team on a temporary-to-permanent basis.

This is an excellent opportunity for candidates with manufacturing or chemical handling experience who are looking for long-term employment with progression opportunities.

The successful candidate will support the safe and efficient preparation of chemical batches while ensuring production targets, quality standards, and health & safety requirements are consistently met.

Key Responsibilities

Carry out tank start-up and chemical mixing operations in line with production procedures

Follow batch sheets and mixing instructions accurately

Operate production equipment including mixers, pumps, meters, scales, and FLTs

Measure and monitor raw material usage to ensure correct batch quantities

Return unused materials to stock with correct labelling and documentation

Test water solutions for pH levels and conductivity

Safely unload chemical and bulk solvent deliveries

Complete production and batch paperwork accurately

Maintain high standards of housekeeping and health & safety at all times

Requirements

Valid and in-date FLT (Forklift Truck) licence

Previous experience within a manufacturing or production environment

Experience working with chemicals or blending processes preferred

Strong attention to detail and ability to follow procedures

Good communication skills

Reliable, proactive, and able to work as part of a team
