Slitter / Plater No.2 - Weekend Nights
Birkenhead
£31,500 - £37,500 per annum (depending on experience and skillset)
Friday, Saturday & Sunday - 36 hours per week (night shift)
We are recruiting for a Slitter / Plater No.2 to join a well-established print manufacturing business in Birkenhead. This role is part of a weekend night shift team, supporting production across multiple areas of the operation.
Due to the nature of the shift, the successful candidate will need to be multi-skilled and flexible, able to assist across several departments when required. This is very much a "jack of all trades" role within print production, supporting the smooth running of the site during skeleton staffing hours.
Key Responsibilities
Supporting the slitting and plating processes within the production department
Assisting across multiple print and finishing areas as required
Preparing materials and machinery for production runs
Monitoring production quality and reporting any issues
Supporting machine operators and production staff where required
General production duties including packing, materials handling and housekeeping
Ensuring all work is completed in line with health and safety and quality standards Requirements
Previous experience within a print, packaging, or manufacturing environment
Ability to work across multiple departments and support different production processes
Strong practical skills and a proactive approach to problem solving
Ability to work independently as part of a small weekend team
Reliable with good attention to detail
Desirable Skills
Experience operating slitting or finishing machinery
Plating experience within print production
FLT (Forklift Truck) licence
Experience working across different stages of the print process Training
The successful candidate will complete approximately 12 weeks of weekday training to familiarise themselves with the machinery, processes, and departments before moving onto the permanent weekend night shift.
Salary
Salary ranges from £31,500 to £37,500, depending on the level of experience and the range of skills the candidate can bring to the role
