Position: Teaching Assistant (Temporary)
Location: Wirral

Teaching Assistant - Temp to perm

(12 weeks temporary work which can lead to a permanent position after 12 weeks).

The School is an independent 39 week specialist day provision for boys and girls, aged between 11 and 16 with social, emotional and mental health difficulties.

The School provides an aspirational, exciting and innovative setting with a strong desire to develop both students and staff.

Location:

Wirral

Salary: £13.68 per hour

Contract Type:
Temporary to Permanent, Full Time.

Key Duties:

Offer day-to-day emotional and practical support.

Motivate and empower young people to gain independence.

Provide support and advice in line with support plans and keyworker requests.

Work collaboratively as part of a team.

What You Need to Be Considered

You need a specific set of skills focused on engagement and resilience:

Relationship Building:
The ability to engage and build strong relationships with young people.

Understanding Trauma:
Understanding the impacts of homelessness, domestic abuse, and trauma.

Crisis Response: A forward-thinking attitude to crisis response.

Emotional Resilience:
The ability to remain calm and collected in challenging and traumatic situations.

Empathetic, caring and resilient nature

6 months experience of working with children or within a similar Social Care settinng.

Hold a current Enhanced DBS on the update service or are willing to obtain one
