We are recruiting a Complex Lives Early Intervention and Advice Officer within Liverpool City Council's Housing Solutions Service. This post will have a particular focus on supporting people approaching release from prison who are homeless or at risk of homelessness. Working as part of our early intervention approach, you will provide proactive housing advice and casework, working with individuals and partner agencies before release and through the transition back into the community.

You will work closely with prisons, Probation, resettlement services and other partners to identify housing needs early, explore opportunities to prevent homelessness and support. A key part of the role will be to understand the individual's circumstances at the earliest opportunity and explore the full range of housing and resettlement options available. This will include supporting access to appropriate short-term prison release pathways, including Community Accommodation Service Tier 3 (CAS3), alongside wider homelessness prevention, housing and move-on options.

The role will involve working with people who may be experiencing multiple disadvantage and complex circumstances. You will use the Early Intervention and Advice Officer responsibilities to provide practical, person-centred housing interventions, helping to ensure that release from custody does not result in avoidable homelessness. You will also contribute to the wider work of the Housing Solutions Service, providing early housing advice, homelessness prevention and casework in accordance with the requirements of the role.
