Birmingham, Alabama – $125,000 – $145,000 + bonus

Our client is a leading company with a strong presence in Birmingham and a reputation for attracting and developing top accounting talent. Due to continued growth and recent acquisitions, the company is adding a newly created manager role to its finance team.

This is an excellent opportunity for a manager-level public accountant who enjoys owning processes, leading initiatives, and solving complex accounting matters in a fast-growing, highly visible environment.

• Own and manage all aspects of the accounting cycle, including processes, controls, and reporting
• Lead projects, particularly those tied to acquisitions, system changes, and process improvements
• Perform technical accounting research and analysis on various concepts and strategies
• Evaluate, build, and improve accounting processes as the business continues to scale
• Partner cross-functionally with teams such as operations, FP&A, legal, and systems
• Take initiative to “figure things out” in a dynamic environment with evolving business needs
• Work independently on key areas while also collaborating closely with the broader accounting and finance teams
• Receive training and support while gaining exposure across multiple areas of the organization

• Manager-level experience in public accounting (Big 4 or national/regional firm preferred)
• Strong understanding of GAAP accounting and technical accounting concepts
• Experience leading projects and managing processes in a fast-paced environment
• Comfortable operating with a high level of ownership and accountability
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively across departments
• CPA preferred
