CPA Accountant

About the Role

As a CPA Accountant at Landing, you’ll play an active role in shaping the financial foundation of a fast-growing startup. You’ll collaborate closely with our Operations, Finance, and Accounting teams to own key responsibilities like balance sheet and P&L reviews. More than just day‑to‑day accounting, this role puts you at the center of building and evolving new processes that scale with the business.

• Own the full accounting cycle: AP, AR, GL, bank reconciliations, and month‑end close
• Prepare and analyze financial statements with an eye for insights and actionable recommendations
• Lead accounting projects independently—process improvements, internal controls, system upgrades, and more
• Proactively identify issues, propose solutions, and implement them with confidence
• Ensure compliance with GAAP, tax regulations, and corporate policies; coordinate with auditors as needed
• Partner with cross‑functional teams to provide guidance on accounting and finance matters
• Support budgeting, forecasting, and strategic financial planning initiatives
• Mentor junior staff when needed, but your focus is ownership and delivery, not supervision

• Must be CPA license holder with 3–7 years of hands‑on accounting experience
• Experienced with both detailed execution and higher‑level project ownership
• Proactive problem‑solver who doesn’t wait to be told what to do
• Comfortable making decisions, juggling priorities, and driving results independently
• Strong analytical skills with excellent attention to detail
• Tech‑savvy with experience in accounting software like Quick Books, Net Suite, Sage, or similar
• A communicator who can translate numbers into meaningful insights for business leaders
