We are partnering with a highly respected, Birmingham-based organization on their search for a Director of Accounting. This is a newly created role driven by significant company growth and represents a rare opportunity to step into a highly visible, strategic leadership position.

This role will play a key part in shaping the accounting function, leading a strong team, and partnering with senior leadership on complex accounting matters and high-impact initiatives.

The ideal profile includes:

• CPA required
• Background in Big 4 or large regional public accounting, either:
• Currently at the Senior Manager level, or
• Started career in Big 4/large regional public accounting and transitioned into industry
• 10+ years of combined experience across public accounting and/or industry
• Strong technical accounting foundation with the ability to operate at both a strategic and hands-on level
• Proven people leader who enjoys mentoring and developing teams

This opportunity offers strong executive visibility, meaningful leadership responsibility, and exposure to complex and interesting accounting matters. A very competitive compensation package is offered, commensurate with experience.
