Accounting Clerk

Description

We are seeking a detail-oriented AP/AR Specialist to join a growing accounting team. This individual will support daily financial operations by processing invoices, recording payments, maintaining accurate financial records, and assisting with banking and administrative functions.

The ideal candidate is organized, proactive, and comfortable managing high-volume transactions, multiple deadlines, and varying procedures. This role is a great fit for someone who enjoys problem-solving, takes ownership of their work, and can work independently in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

+ Process vendor invoices, obtain approvals, and ensure accurate coding and timely payments.

+ Maintain vendor records and tax documentation, including assisting with 1099 reporting.

+ Communicate with vendors and internal teams to resolve invoice discrepancies and payment issues.

+ Record incoming payments, prepare bank deposits, and maintain accurate transaction records.

+ Monitor invoice processing systems and assist with payment verification and banking controls.

+ Support month-end and year-end close activities.

+ Provide general administrative and office support as needed.

Requirements

Qualifications

+ Previous accounts payable, accounts receivable, or related accounting experience.

+ Familiarity with basic accounting principles and financial recordkeeping.

+ Proficiency in Microsoft Office; experience with Yardi or Avid Xchange is a plus.

+ Commercial real estate experience is a plus.

+ Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and communication abilities.

+ Ability to manage competing priorities, meet deadlines, and resolve routine issues independently.

+ Demonstrated accountability, adaptability, and follow-through.
