Admissions Coordinator - Phase 1 Clinic - AM (023)

UAB Medicine is seeking an Admissions Coordinator to support the Phase 1 Clinic. The position is a full‑time morning shift and is located in Birmingham, Alabama.

Position Overview

Provide a range of intake and associated administrative services to patients being admitted to the hospital, emergency department or receiving outpatient services. Responsibilities include obtaining demographics, insurance and medical information, assessing the patient’s financial status to identify a source of payment, collecting deposits or deductibles, and interfacing with insurers and members of the healthcare team.

Responsibilities
  • Obtain patient demographics, insurance, and medical information.
  • Assess patients’ financial status and identify payment sources.
  • Collect deposits and deductibles as applicable.
  • Coordinate with insurers and healthcare team members.
  • Provide other intake and administrative support services as required.
Qualifications
  • High School diploma or GED.
  • At least two (2) years of related experience.
