In this newly created role, the hire will be the face of the company at client sites. They will focus on building strong relationships with maintenance and technical teams, managing on-site inventory, and identifying ways the company can add more value to customers' operations. This is an ideal role for someone who is growth‑oriented, enjoys being "out and about," and has a strong customer‑service mindset.
Responsibilities- Establish trust and rapport with maintenance teams and end users to support customer retention.
- Conduct regular field visits to inspect installed products and ensure inventory health.
- Manage point‑of‑use or consignment inventory, including tracking usage and proactive replenishment.
- Perform on‑site assessments to identify potential risks or improper installations and provide solutions.
- Document observations and usage trends in the CRM system to flag new opportunities for the sales team.
- Assist with the onboarding of new users by providing basic product guidance and usage support.
- Act as a liaison between field‑level customers and internal teams to ensure fast issue resolution.
- Identify operational challenges at client sites that may require engineered solutions or additional training.
- Partner with account managers to provide frontline insights for customer growth plans.
- Maintain a professional and safety‑conscious presence during all client site visits.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in field service, maintenance, or a customer‑facing service role.
- Background in service‑based delivery or route‑based customer management is highly helpful.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to build relationships with technicians and operators.
- Basic mechanical aptitude and a desire to learn technical product applications.
- Organized and disciplined with experience managing inventory or tracking data in a CRM.
- Technical associate degree or bachelor’s degree is preferred, but relevant experience will be considered.
- Must live in the Birmingham area and be comfortable with daily local travel in a company vehicle.
- Ability to work a standard 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM schedule with occasional flexibility based on client needs.
