Architect, Architect ​/ Sr. Architect

Talon Hiring Solutions has a client in the Birmingham, AL area that is looking for a skilled Architect to join the team. This role is responsible for planning, designing, and overseeing the construction of buildings and structures that are functional, safe, sustainable, and visually compelling. The Architect will work closely with clients, engineers, contractors, and stakeholders across every stage of a project—from concept design through construction documentation and administration.

• Lead all phases of design, from early sketches to final construction
• Create innovative, client‑focused solutions that respond to site, budget, and sustainability goals
• Coordinate seamlessly with engineers, consultants, and contractors
• Deliver clear, precise, code‑compliant drawings and documentation
• Mentor junior architects and interns, fostering growth and creativity
• Participate in client meetings, site visits, and inspections
• Research new materials, products, and systems to keep designs cutting‑edge
• Ensure compliance with building codes, zoning, ADA, and green building standards
• Keep projects on track by supporting schedules and budgets

• Professional degree in Architecture (B.Arch or M.Arch) from an accredited program
• Minimum 5 years of professional architectural experience
• Active architectural licensure required
• Proficiency in Revit and AutoCAD
• Strong technical expertise in building systems, detailing, and construction methods
• Exceptional design, communication, and presentation skills
• Ability to manage tasks independently while thriving in a collaborative, fast‑paced environment
