• Schedule:
  
  Blend of inpatient (ICU and hospital consult service) and outpatient clinic practice with rotating call coverage among physician group.

• Preferred completion of accredited Pulmonary and Critical Care Medicine Fellowship.
• Board certification in Pulmonary Disease and Critical Care Medicine.
• Licensed Graduate Doctoral Physician MD/DO credentialed from the Alabama Board of Medical Examiners prior to hire date.
• Advanced Life Support credential from the American Heart Association (AHA) preferred.

• Evaluate & treat patients with acute and chronic pulmonary diseases such as COPD, asthma, interstitial lung disease, and pulmonary hypertension.
• Manage critical care patients in the ICU, including those requiring mechanical ventilation and advanced life support measures.
• Participate in multidisciplinary rounds and collaborate with medical staff to ensure coordinated care.
• Maintain all aspects of outpatient pulmonary clinic.
• Accept patient referrals from other physicians. Act as admitting, attending, and/or consulting physician for patients who require hospitalization.
• Participate in academic programs such as medical education and research as requested.
• Provide appropriate documentation that meets insurance company requirements and appeal denials in a timely manner.
• Participate in inpatient and outpatient consultation for specialty, which may include on call schedules.

• Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathy (DO) required.
• Board certification in Pulmonary Disease and Critical Care Medicine.
• Licensed Graduate Physician MD/DO from Alabama Board of Medical Examiners.
• Advanced Life Support credential from the American Heart Association (AHA) preferred.
• Experience in ICU and outpatient pulmonary clinic settings.
• Strong communication and documentation skills.
