Job Description

The Spanish teacher will provide language instruction to students, helping them learn to speak and write in Spanish. Responsibilities include providing appropriate instructions according to grade level, creating a classroom environment conducive to learning and personal growth, establishing effective rapport with students, and motivating students to develop skills, attitudes, and knowledge needed for responsible citizenship.

Duties And Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with teachers, administrators, parents, counselors, and related service providers in the educational planning for students.
  • Assist in developing and implementing individual education plans for students.
  • Instruct students to meet grade-level standards and prepare them academically and socially.
  • Develop lesson plans and materials aligned with curriculum standards, providing individualized and small group instruction.
  • Create engaging learning experiences and establish classroom behavior standards.
  • Evaluate student progress, prepare report cards, and maintain records.
  • Communicate regularly with parents or guardians regarding student progress.
  • Supervise student movement and activities within the school.
  • Administer standardized testing.
  • Model nondiscriminatory practices in all activities.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree or higher from an accredited institution.
  • Valid Alabama Teacher's Certificate.
  • Meet ESSA federal and state requirements or be willing to meet them within the designated timeframe.
  • Other qualifications as required by the Board.

Salary Range:
From/To Certified Schedule 16 Level 1-4 ($45,869 - $92,035)
